Base coat and top coat of nail polish...?

What does the base coat and top coat of nail polish actually do to your nails?Base coat and top coat of nail polish...?
Base protects the polish from staining your nails. The top keeps the nail polish from chipping quickly; it also can add shine (depending on the brand). They are both pretty necessary.Base coat and top coat of nail polish...?
it makes it so the polish will stay on and go on easier.

also, if you get the ones that are filled with protien and nutrients, etc.

then its will help the nails' health and strength, believe it or not.
Base coat prevent your nails from being damaged ( because sometimes when you take of nail polish after a long time your nail looks a weird yellow colour) and top coat keeps the nail polish on for longer and it doesnt chip of as easily.
the top coat will keep the polish staying on for longer

base coat keeps the reg polish from ruining ur nails, and also can bring out the color
