Does top coat go on before or after painting your nails?

I'mpainting my nails tomorrow (as a joke) and i need to know if top coat goes on before or after applying the nail polish. Thanks.Does top coat go on before or after painting your nails?

if you are just doing it as a joke/don't want it to last for a whole week, the whole process isn't that necessary. make sure you get some nail polish remover to take it off too!Does top coat go on before or after painting your nails?
it goes on after, 2 applications which I have seen every time I get a manicure. but in beauty school, we were taught it goes on once before the polish and then again after the polish.
Its like painting a car... primer (base coat), color, then top coat. I always do base coat, but a lot of people don't. Sometimes you need to put on two layers of the nail color too...
you can do it under as well. it makes the paint last longer :P

double the colour is better aswell
goes on as very last coat...top coat isthe very top (last) coat! Hope the joke goes well *wink*
after. and what color haha u can also put it on before and after so ur nails dont turn yellow after you remove the nail polish

Yes. it goes on after this makes it so when you have your nails with a color to make it shine and protect it better :D
