Nail polish: is it bad to wear only base coat all the time?

i like the nice shine that the clear nail polish gives . I also know that you wear the base coat before putting the colered nail polish on to protect your nails from turning yellow. But will my nails turn yellow if i use only a base coat for a long time? or does it make my nails healthier?Nail polish: is it bad to wear only base coat all the time?
Just wearing a plain base coat is fine. Just change it once a week and if you do notice your nails getting yellow soak them in lemon juice for awhile.Nail polish: is it bad to wear only base coat all the time?
I think a clear base coat is fine to wear by itself and gives your natural toenails a bit of a shine, but it will eventually not be good for your natural nails if you keep it on for a long time.. They are a bit healthier than colored nail polish, but they do need to breath every once in awhile.

It smooths out your nails and makes them very shiny and, well, smooth. It looks better than just a base coat, too.
It depends upon your preferred coating,but it will not affect the color of your nail if you are going to use it for a longer time, of course it is going to affect the color of your nail.
depends if its those healthy ones that cost a lot but the plain has the same effect but takes longer for the nail to go yellow.
