What is a nail top coat ?

Do I put it before I paint a color or after ?





Should I always paint a clear color before paint a colr? because now it's turning yellowish





And do you think it will look nice if I put clear glitter polish after painting a color on my nails?What is a nail top coat ?
Usually, if you paint colors (especially dark colors) on your nails, you have to use a base coat first (to be sure that your nails don't turn yellow) then 1 or 2 coats of your nail color then your top coat to seal the whole. It's not a good idea to do a base coat, then your nail color, then the glitters than the top coat...too many coats will make it really easy to chip. You should try to buy nail colors that already are glittery (Maybelline, CG...they all have a ''jewelry-glittery'' type line) and then one top coat, and if you take good care (waiting for each coat to dry perfectly), your nails should look good for over a week.What is a nail top coat ?
